2003 Track Speed Workouts at Upper Dublin High School
Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.

Our AARC liaison, Karen, offers this review of the activity: "This is not the laid-back run-around-the-track-a-few-times type of workout... believe me!  Coach Floyd makes you work hard, gives you lots of personal encouragement and motivation, and provides plenty of advice about running form and race training. Welcome, Lisa.   

Another fabulous night for a track work out.  The air was crisp but not yet a chill. The sun was definitely lower in the sky this week.  Several 800's and 400's were accomplished tonight. Some were just taking it easy after the Reach The Beach 208 mile Relay last weekend.

Tonight was a rainy drizzly night but runners still showed up for their weekly track work out. This week was a little of this and a little of that but not as true-to-form as when Coach Floyd is with us.   Hope to see you back next week Coach!

Tonight's workout was a smorgasboard:  some did 5 x 800, others ran a variety of 200's, 400's, and 800's.  A few gutbusters and even some push-ups (?!) rounded out the evening.

We had a decent turnout at the track workout tonight. Coach Floyd brought his whole family---wife, daughter, and son to run with us and help keep time. We ran 4 x 400 again this week....it's only a mile, but I think we'll all be feeling it tomorrow.

 

Track workouts are another enjoyable running activity
