Phils Tavern 5K

Saturday, August 21 at 8:30 AM

We have have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely, and now believe that the time is right to return to in person running with a 5K race...

The Ambler Area Running Club proudly presents the Phils Tavern 5K - a return to our roots.

Race proceeds and additional donations support two local charities selected by AARC members:

 Do Better 4 Steve
Salvation Army Children's Services

Thank you to all who support AARC, our race sponsors and our annual beneficiaries. Stay safe and follow the guidance of our state and local governments to help control the outbreak.

Online registration is available through Aug 15.  In person registration is available at packet pickup and on race day. Scroll down for details.

Proceeds from our 2021 races will be donated to these worthy charities selected by AARC members. Please give generously.

So Better for Steve

Do Better 4 Steve

Working with teachers, social workers and community leaders, Do Better 4 Steve solicits and receives requests for aid to help pay for things such as but not limited to:

Learning devices for disabled students
Summer camp attendance
Music lessons or instruments
Child Care Services
Learning Services
Tutoring including college preparatory services
YMCA program attendance

All assistance is anonymously provided to preserve the dignity of the children and families we help. Besides helping those in need, we hope to inspire children to grow up to be empathetic members of society who will do better themselves.

Salvation Army Children's Services

The Salvation Army Children's Services: Foster Care and Adoption Program helps connect children with safe, loving homes and families. We offer a variety of foster care and adoption services as well as ongoing training, support services and enrichment activities to help kids from hard places thrive. Our HALO Project 10-week intensive therapy program helps bring healing to foster and adoptive families struggling with the impacts of childhood trauma. Although The Salvation Army is a large organization, our Foster Care & Adoption Program is small in size, which allows us to get
to know each family personally so we can meet their needs at a higher level and give each child the special attention they deserve.
